One course, two requirements? TESC
#1
Apparently, REL-405: Introduction to World Religions is in two separate categories. In Information Literacy, and in Diversity, which both require 3cr, so does that mean this one test fulfills two areas of study? I apologize if this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find any mention of it. I was about to pay for the LIT-291: Analysis and Interpretation of Literature CLEP when I found this info. Shortcut?

I hope that I didn't read it wrong:

Some courses can be used in a couple different places, but you can't use it in more than one at the same time. So REL-405 can be used in either category, but not both. You still need a certain number of credits total to fulfill the gen ed requirements.

Something to watch out for too is that if you use a course as a gen ed it can't apply to the major, and vice versa. Each category in a tesu is distinct and needs separate courses to fulfill each category.

Correct: if you use World Religions to fulfill your Diversity requirement, then you can't use it to fulfill your Info Lit requirement (and vice versa). Each course may only be listed once on your transcript.
