English Composition I & II TECEP or Sophia.org

I'm thinking to take the Sophia English 2 class since my DSST got cancelled due to the virus.
Anyone have feedback on how the class is? Difficulty?
I'm thinking to take it cuz it's free, otherwise I was thinking the tecep so I can trust me register for my capstone and sos110 in May to grad in Sept otherwise I won't grad till December.
It sounds like this class is free but will take a while to finish due to the grading time frames.

I am taking English Comp 1 and 2 from Sophia right now. English Comp 2 is not hard, but it does take an investment in time. I started both courses 15 days ago, The first two days I dedicated to the quizzes and exams. Since then I have been writing papers on average one per day. I have yet to receive a single grade back. I have left two messages with Sophia and spoke to a representative through their chat function. Understand that they have a higher then usual enrollment since they opened up all of their courses for free, however I am now at the point that I cannot finish English Comp 1 due to the final assignment requiring feedback from a previous assignment and that is frustrating.  

In terms of English Comp 2, there are no exams, unlike English Comp 1 that has four. There are roughly 12-14 quizzes. They make up 20%ish of your grade. The rest of the grade comes from the work you do. Assignment 1 consists of a summary and reply essay to a research paper. I personally found the assignment engaging. The second assignment is far more in-depth. You have to submit your research essay outline. The essay includes your research question, thesis sentence, seven body paragraphs (including the paragraphs to refute arguments to your thesis) and your conclusion. The majority of the work for the assignment comes from the research. For each paragraph (9) you have to cite 2 source and for the body paragraphs, 2 arguments or supporting details. I would argue that taking your time on assignment two, if done correctly will end up reducing the time on many of your other assignments. Further assignments are built around the final research essay you will be submitting and the groundwork in assignment two will pay dividends in the long run.   

Because Sophia is free, I would recommend it. However, if you still had to pay for it and the wait time for feedback and grading was as long as it is now, I would recommend you look towards option options.
