Yes. They can be used for 17-20+ general education electives and the 27 free electives.
General Education = Arts/Science courses and Free electives = Anything transferable
Go crazy with those roughly 47 credits - find the cheap/easy/fast courses!

Hey I actually had another question to ask. Since there are 2 options for a ba in ls (with and w/o concentration) since im planning on going with the no concentration part, would it matter which courses I take for the 15 UL credits or do they have to be a logical mash up of UL credits?? Thanks again in advance

Failed to PM you earlier - Chef945 has private messaging disabled. You cannot send private messages to this user.
A) If you chose the "No concentration" concentration option, it basically means to take 15 UL credits and 30 credits total.
B) If you do chose a concentration, it requires 18 from one concentration and 12 from the same concentration or another.

TESU BALS: http://www.tesu.edu/heavin/ba/Liberal-Studies.cfm
A. Students complete a total of 30 credits of Liberal Studies courses that include at least 15 credits at the 300/400 level and no more than 6 credits at the 100 level.
B. Students select an 18-credit concentration from the list below and complete an additional 12 credits of Liberal Studies courses.

Um...not all of the Study.com courses will work in the AOS. Anything that is Business-related, Education-related (EDU prefix), a few others aren't Gen Ed/Liberal Studies. So you might want to run anything you want to take by us to make sure it will work first.

Ohh okay gotcha will do!! I was planing on getting taking the UL psych courses from study.com and then some UL shmoop courses to fit the bill for the AOS and working in history 108 at the moment. Would those suffice for the AOS? Thanks again for the help

That is pretty much what I did. I had a few upper level psych courses from another university and completed the upper level shmoop English courses for a BALS with Humanities concentration.
I took 10 courses at shmoop to fill out other areas and used 2 courses from Study.com to get the discount.

My concentration looks like this
Group 1
LIT-430 Literature and the Media
LIT-323 Women in Literature
ENG-301 The Holocaust
LIT-399 Special Topics in Literature
LIT-320 Shakespeare

Group 2
LIT-208 English Literature I
PSY421 Social Psychology
PSY355 Child Growth and Development
HIS-221 European History II
ENG-246 Poetry I

Capstone - working on now

I also had PSY312 Lifespan Development but that went in gen ed
TESU: Capstone completed Big Grin
Study.com: Classroom Management, Differentiated Instruction (6)
Patten: Academic Strategies, Child Growth and Development, Reading, Writing, and Research, Social Psych, Lifespan Development, American Government (18)
Shmoop: Drugs in Lit, Holocaust Lit, Poetry, Lit in the Media, Modernist Lit, Shakespeare's Plays, Western Lit, Women's Lit, British Lit, Euro History (30)
SL: Cultural Anthropology, English Comp I, English Comp II, Biology, Intro Comm, Environmental Science, Philosophy, C++,  Religion (27)
TEEX: Cyber Security for Business Professionals, Cyber Security for Everyone, Cyber Security for IT Professionals (6)
Sophia: Art History, Psychology, Sociology, Visual Comm, Dev Teams  (13)
ALEKS: Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Statistics, Trigonometry (15)
NFA: Fire Service Supervision, Community Safety Educators (2)
Kaplan: Documenting Experiences (3)
ACTFL: Reading Proficiency Test (6)
CPCU: Ethics (2)
