Looks like Ed4Credit folded shop and sold their IP to Lumerit Scholars.

So Pearson is now the owner of Lumerit as of October. Is Pearson making some big move to become a bigger online learning source than they already were?

Based on Lumerit's pricing model, Pearson isn't going to be taking too much business away from the other major players (SL,SDC, etc.).

Bummer. They had a great setup, but pricing was a bit high and the courses were mostly duplicates of what was already available. They were a small mom and pop operation, so I'm sure they had trouble competing on the pricing model as they tried to recoup their costs.
sad to see them go.

kind of knew something was up. Wasn't there a post that you had to finish all their courses by December 31st and all their ACE expired by then too. Figured something like this would happen.

The price was too high. They didn't have anything that you couldn't get for cheaper somewhere else.

But they were a great option if you didn't like the monthly membership model of Study.com or SL. I personally don't like having a 1-mo deadline, and my husband's company will pay for ACE/NCCRS courses, but not for monthly memberships, so it's nice to have other options out there. Now, Sophia is basically the only thing he can use that's not testing out.

Most of their courses had ACE expiration dates of 12/31/19, but some, including all 5 of their UL courses, didn't expire until 2/28/21.
I'm kind of surprised Pearson hasn't added them to their catalog, but nothing on their website has changed at all. They aren't taking advantage of the UL, and they had zero UL courses themselves, so you'd think they'd be eager to get those going.

It's probably going to take some time for Pearson to migrate all of the data over to their servers. Plus, even though the classes were ACE-accredited for Ed4Credit, I'm sure there is some kind of transfer process that has to occur on the ACE side before Pearson can offer them as accredited classes on their side.
