Has anyone taken this exam recently? This is the last exam I need to complete my Associates degree. It is for written English, college writing, my least favorite subject! I am waiting on approval before I take. Any help of information about the exam would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

I took it mid Sept 2015. It was very easy! Study the requirements exactly and mentally prepare for the two writing assignments! You will do fine!

You're talking about the UExcel exam, correct? If so, I took it a year ago. Dreaded it for several years before. Signed up and forgot about it until I saw it on my calendar at 4 p.m. and it was scheduled for 6 p.m. Didn't want to loose my money, so I took it cold. Got an A.

Took this test a few days ago and passed with a "B"! It was such a relief to get that score. I thought I did very well on the proposal question, but was weak on the analyse and response question. Had help studying from my daughter who is a college freshman and it paid off since it was fresh in her mind! A little payback from all the years I helped her get through high school!

did you have to memorize the MLA or APA style for footnotes and references ?
and did you have to use them when writing your essays ?
that's my only worry

I reviewed how to do the MLA process and did a few quotes according to what I have read. No need to footnote or quote. Just refer to the article and make sure you reference what point you used. The test program does not have the prompts for it. No need for references. You are given 2 shorts articles to read and review and write about them. Like I said, I was strong on the proposal and weak on the A & L. They even give you a printout of what your weak or strong points were to each essay question. If I can pass anyone can pass and I suck at writing.
Good luck.

This was the first ever UExcel exam I took. I was *super* nervous and it ended up being an easy A.
