Wow! Someone just called me up out of the blue regarding a job related to accounting. Let's see if this can add another score into the "these diplomas are useful" category.
It doesn't matter which degree. All you need for a public school teaching license is a regionally accredited Bachelor's in any subject. After that it depends on what state and district you are in. Some districts will only give you a substitute teacher license and you have to work that for a few years until they will grant you a full on teaching license. Others will give you a teaching license right off the bat.
If anyone actually wants to be a teacher I would highly recommend getting an ENEB degree then speedrunning an Education Master's through a school like WGU which is competency based. Depending on where you work you can get a pay raise for a Master's or for 2 Master's.
