I think BJ is suggesting is to completing the high school (with some college credits) AND Associates at PFC, and PFC allows upto 75% transfer credits. And your approach is good too. I'll discuss with her and see what she sees better for her.
India does not recognize ANY 100% distance degrees (even if they are from Harvard), so at this point I am only thinking of a easy (or path of least resistance) degree (possibly in education/psychology related fields) at this time to align with her goals. I am not terribly worried about recognition in India because she'd be doing either private jobs or her own outfit where degree is more of a checklist.
