I have been fighting with my employer over covering CLEP and DSST under our tuition reimbursement program. To this point, no luck. I just filed an appeal. Their problem is, when you take a class you get a bill with the class name, school name and your name. I sent them all of that information for my CLEP's but it is not on one piece of paper like they require. Anyway, when you take ECE exams for EC, do you pay EC or the testing center? Do you get anything showing what class the test is credit for besides your transcript? Are the test name/numbers the same as the class it replaces? Could anyone send me a copy of a bill or whatever you do get? I am trying to fight the man and having no luck. It kils me because they will gladly pay for a class that cost more plus books but not tests.
Thanks for any help or advice.

Doug,
I am having the same problem with my company. Here is a copy of an invoice from ECE. I get reimbursed after I pass. The good news is that you get an actual grade for ECE's instead of pass/fail. It is crazy that the will pay for a $900.00 class but not a $205 exam.
Good luck.

Are you actually billed from the school or from the testing center? I think part of GE's problem is, the school I paid to proctor the exam is not the school that is giving me credit for it, where as , when I take a class. I get a bill from the school with the class name and amount and then I get a grade from the school. What all did you show your company to get reimbursed? I think if the ECE exams are billed from Excelsior it would help alot, that way there is no middle man. Thanks

fortunately the bill for the EC exams come from the school. I went through a very similar experience with Wachovia with CLEP and DSST reimbursement, still no luck to date, but I did get the ECE's paid for. I did not even mention that they were tests. I submitted my bill and my transcripts with the grades on them and they probably just assumed that they were regular classes. I was so happy when they were approved...good luck - let me know how it goes...
