Hi Everyone, I need (6) upper level credits in Psychology so want to take two Uexcel/ECE's. Can anyone give advice for which of the three and in what order might be best for success?

No real order needed. Pick whichever ones sound the most interesting. It would be a good idea to have had a basic statistics class before doing research methods.

I would expect that there may be a favorable order to take them. I took Ethics in America followed by Business Ethics which worked out perfectly with a nice overlap.

Have you thought about using an aleks free 2 month home schooler promo (hopefully still active) and spending some time on Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences? It may prove helpful. Thanks for that, I forgot about Social Psychology. Yeah, definitely not interested in the Research if it has a lot of Math.

I wouldn't say that research methods is math heavy, but it does assume you've had statistics. It's a psych class in the same way that business math is a business class.
Aging and abnormal are normal psych courses/tests. I took all three for my degree and none of them were particularly difficult.
IMO, I think Life Span Developmental Psych was one of the most "fun" exams.
 Social Psych was also quite easy, especially if you've taken Intro to Psych. Psy of Adulthood and Aging was somewhat boring to me... but still quite doable. I haven't taken Abnormal Psych or Research Methods in Psych, but yes, like the others say, it might be good to take Stats before RMP.If you're thinking of just 2 UL ECEs, I'd suggest taking Social Psych and either PAA or Abnormal Psych. |
