No, it's a great question!

And the answer to the question so far is yes. Every Charter Oak degree general studies with concentration bachelor's program – that's almost all of them, I'm just putting aside the new BS in Health Information Management – can result in either a BA or a BS.
The one and only
difference is that a BA requires a minimum 90 sh of Liberal Arts credit within the degree as. A BS only requires 60 sh of Liberal Arts credit. (Similarly, an AA requires 45 sh of Liberal Arts, an AS only 30 sh.)

And all or almost all your general education requirements would also be counted as Liberal Arts and go towards that 90. A few of your business-related courses may also count as Liberal Arts – I think, for instance, Organizational Behavior.
However, most of the business concentration will be non-Liberal Arts. FEMA credits will all or essentially all be non-Liberal Arts. Going for a BA in business, there wouldn't be much space left within a total 120 sh for credit that's neither Liberal Arts nor business. It's more likely there'd be space for non-Liberal Arts, non-concentration electives like FEMA courses in a B
S in the same field, since the total Liberal Arts requirement is 30 sh less.

Thank you for your reply! But I was wondering if you can take the cornerstone and capstone in the same semester?

I'd ask this question to your advisor, or an admission counsellor.
A semester at Charter Oak includes two eight-week terms; courses are variously 15 weeks (full semester), 8 weeks, or 5 weeks. IDS 101 Cornerstone Seminar, and the capstone for your prospective concentration, MGT 499 Strategic Management Capstone, are both 8 weeks.
For starters, you couldn't normally take the cornerstone and capstone in the same 8-week term. Part of the cornerstone process is preparing and submitting your Concentration Plan of Study, including the list of courses that will count towards your concentration, which is then reviewed for approval by Charter Oak's consulting faculty. There's some turnaround time to this. A prerequisite for taking the capstone is that you have most or all of (the rest of) the courses within your concentration complete.

I see! So coming in with all credits except the capstone and cornerstone you could possibly finish in 16 weeks or 2 semesters. That is great!
