Ok, so I'm scheduled to take the ECE pathophysiology exam next week. I'm wondering if anyone has taken this exam in the last year or so? The feedback on the specific exam feedback is pretty old and I don't find any flashcards to help out. I need to pass this exam with a B or my school won't accept the grade. I have been out of the testing mode for a while, so I'm very worried. I've taken one practice exam and will save the last one until a few days prior to the exam after I'm done studying. I'm open for any and all suggestions for what to study and use for this exam. Thanks in advance!

WARNING- I have no help, only questions for you lol.
You know, I was thinking about taking it for an UL Science. I only need 3 classes, and this has been sitting on my "maybe" list all year. Now that I am finished with my HES Bio class (whoo hooo, pulled an A-) I might want something to play with this summer....cuz moving cross country just isn't "enough" to keep me crazy. Did you go on prior knowledge or use a book for prep? If you used a book, I'd love to know which one- maybe even buy it from you if you want to unload it. My prior knowledge is minimal- I did an A&P sequence, I just did a grad level bio class that covered cellular pathology (HIV, cancer, stem cell stuff specifically) so I know a tiny bit about a few huge things. I'm terrified of memorizing pharm stuff, which I know you already know. What do you think content-wise, would this be sheer ridiculousness for a non-nurse?

Jennifer,
I just posted my feedback from this exam in the specific exam feedback section. I passed with an A with about 30 hours of study time. I just wanted to let everyone know that I was scored 60% on the first practice exam and 72% on the second practice exam, but on the actual exam I scored in the mid 70's to mid 80's in each section. I think the practice exams are little harder or might be scored differently than the actual exam. If you are scoring over 50% on the practice exams you should do fine in passing the actual exam. Good luck!

Just thought I share my experience on taking this exam since there hasn't been any recent posts I've come across. I passed this exam (today) with an A. I would highly advise test takers have solid understanding of anatomy and physiology going into this exam. This test is not one that requires memorization of facts but rather an understanding of biological and disease processes. I purchased the cheapest pathophysiology textbook I could find (used) as all will have similar information any book will work. By far the most helpful study tool I would recommend is audio lectures by Doc C. These lectures are free on itunes or online for any Android or pc. Doc C has been teaching for decades and offers a complete course of lectures presented in a way that makes complicated topics easy to grasp. Oh, and did I mention these lectures are free?! I would skip purchasing the cd study guide somehave mentioned by Lisa Arrends (I bought it and wasn't impressed ) and focus on the lectures by Doc C instead.
