Scoring of the Humanities
#11
dshlvrsn Wrote:I just took this test minutes ago... I'd say that there is a really wicked curve to this thing. Wicked, in your favor. I knew all of the IC cards verbatim and went through all of the test review stuff in the specific feedback posts. I seem to have had the 'other' test that no one had seen. Out of the 140 questions at least 50 pertained to things I'd never seen. None of the names nothing. So unless I got really lucky with my guesses I'd agree that the number of correct responces must be in the neighborhood of 50. I scored a 67 on the exam. I'd say that if you've studied that much and if anything that you studied looked instantly familiar to you, you should be pretty much set to sit the exam. If I were to graph my scores on exams against how well I thought I did it would be pretty much linear with this one exam this would be a huge outlier. (see what I did there with all that fancy stats knowledge...) I honestly, and keep in mind that this was my 22nd exam, thought that I'd finally failed one.
i agree with you, the first part of the test, at least 40% were educated guesses!! i never recognized a question or a name they asked for!!! i studied these notecards etc, also....towards the middle of the test i started recognizing questions I had studied. I was for sure that i had failed, so when I seen i passed i almost cried. I got a 61.. knowing the artists and artwork at the end of the taste saved me! i knew nothing about the music portion at all!!!
