I have a question. Has anyone taken any MBA classes at Excelsior? If so how are they? Are they really labor intensive? Were the classes that you took 8 or 16 week? How was your instructor for the class? And last what class/classes did you take? Any and all information would be appreciated.

I know this is not what you asked...
But have you compared Excelsiors MBA costs to other schools? I think you can do an MBA faster, for less, elsewhere.

I was just curious because I was considering getting some classes done but the school will not except them because they are not ACBSP or AACSB accredited. so it will not work for transfer.

What is the difference? I thought that it didn't matter unless you wanted to sit for your CPA or something similar. Since EC is RA would an employer know the difference? Would this impact your employability? I know several here have done their MBA thru EC or are in process. Please enlighten me on the difference and impact it would make.

AACSB accreditation isn't going to mean a whole lot in the working world, however. Unless you hope to take your master's and/or doctorate into academia, where it may very well matter a lot. People have had to re due credits that are from that accreditation. Also this type of accreditation usally means they have alot of research.

Also I want to add that I asked about EC because I only because I would have used them for transfer. The school that I would transfer them to only will take ACBSP or AACSB grad credits. So EC will not work. So thats why the
accreditation matters.

I think AACSB accreditation may also give an applicant an edge when applying to a Fortune 500 or higher company. Some of that may require a sales pitch, though-- along the lines of saying "My degree is from [school], an AACSB-accredited institution. You may not know this, but many of the best business programs possess this extra accreditation" or some such.
