Are you wanting to transfer an associate degree from TESC into Rutgers? Or, are you asking if you can gain admission to a grad program at Rutgers with an undergraduate degree from TESC? Transfer course policy vs transfer degree articulation is not the same thing, and your question asked about "transfer degree" which has me confused. Maybe you could provide just a bit more info and I'm happy to help you, I just don't understand your question/situation.

Due to the equivalency requirements, I'd say there would be no problem transferring in conventional credits like classes from regionally-accredited colleges, TECEP exams, and the CLEP/Dantes/AP exams. I suspect you'd run into problems if you used a lot of FEMA credits to fill in the free electives, as it seems unlikely that Rutgers would offer any similar courses. (it's possible, though, Rutgers offers a whole heck of a lot of classes) As for getting into a Rutgers grad program, why not? Earn good grades, write a polished admissions essay, sweet-talk instructors and bosses into writing praise-filled letters of recommendation, and rock the GRE (or GMAT, or LSAT) - that's the part you need to worry about. (yeah, that's all!) A TESC degree is regionally-accredited, no worries there.

BSLS Excelsior College, conferred 9-09 started MS in Instructional Design program, Spring 2010 April 4 2009 through July 6 2009: 1 GRE subject exam + 1 Penn Foster credit + 11 DANTES exams = 61 credits. Average per-credit cost = $23.44. "Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending." (Maria Robinson) |
