I would like opinions on whether I should take this "Drugs in Literature" course or a different Lit course instead. My cost and time to complete would be the same.
Why not take it: It doesn't seem as serious of a course. Someone viewing my transcript could find it strange, especially because I think I will later get a "serious" degree in a Business or computer field. Some may assume I took this course because it was an easy quicker one. They might assume I had knowledge on the topic before taking the course, or that I have some personal reason to be interested.
Reasons to take it: I have done a lot of psych / social work and health courses (including pharmacy-related) and it fits with those, instead of being some random Lit course. I feel like I would learn things which are applicable to my Psych/Social/Health type of degree I plan to get, and that many people seeing my transcript would understand or like that I learned this. (Even though, obviously it is not a Health/Psych course, but a Lit course.) I would find it a little more fun than the other Lit course, but not easier otherwise.
(I'm also still considering taking 2 Lit courses or even 3 before my subscription is up.)
