Double Major Question
#1
I searched the forum, but I could not find the answer. When you double major at TESC or Excelsior, are both of your majors listed on one degree, or do you get two separate degrees?

Depends.
If you do a BA History/BA Psychology for example, you get one degree and one diploma they are both listed on your transcript. You can do both concurrently.

If you do a BA History/BSBA General Management, you are earning 2 degrees and you actually have to wait until the BA History is conferred before taking any tests or classes on the BSBA.

This is what I am doing. I did a BSBA CIS, it was conferred June 3, then I started the BA Natural Science. If I want, I can probably add a BA Humanities to my one BA that I will be completing. In that case I won't have to wait but I do have to get 24 new credits in the Humanities concentration and only 9 "old" credits can be used. These 9 are usually whatever upper level credits you have. You then typically need a few more upper level and some mid and lower level.
BSBA CIS from TESC, BA Natural Science/Math from TESC
MBA Applied Computer Science from NCU
Enrolled at NCU in the PhD Applied Computer Science

Make sure the double major is in your best interest. I was initially going to double major in History and Political Science but with all those free electives being used up I decided it would be better to do fema courses (which are free) for the free electives rather than a double major. I'm using the time and money I saved to start my Masters program which is a double major in History and Political Science, what I wanted in the first place.

Thanks everyone. I'm in the military, so I'm enrolled at Excelsior and TESC. It's free as long as I take some courses from each school. I'm about to get a liberal studies degree in November from Excelsior, I just wanted to have a degree under my belt. I'm also gonna do Computer Science at TESC.

I was also thinking about Natural Science and Mathematics as the second major. I want to get my graduate degree in Computer engineering, so I think the Computer Science and Natural Science/Mathematics would be a good background to get into the Computer Engineering program. I can't do engineering, so I wanted to at least do a hard science.
