Does TESU specifically require your math be college algebra? Or are there any other lower level type math classes they will accept? I know everyone here seems to do the ALEKS college algebra. But I am so far behind I can't imagine ever being able to pass the test.

College Algebra is required, for BSBA, the Statistics course is required as well, I usually tell people go for Study.com/Straighterline Business stats.
I tell people also to do the Intermediate Algebra for elective credit, along with either Precalculus and/or Trigonometry (they duplicate I think).
I'm sending you a PM to see if that will help you out a bit...

If you are enrolled in the History program, you would only need take a college level math exam or course.
CLEP General Mathematics (6) MAT-102/103
TECEP Liberal Arts Math (3) MAT-105
ALEKS Intermediate Algebra (3) MAT-115
If you take one, and need general education or free electives, take them all because they are more or less the same material and do not duplicate.

The reason I am asking is because I noticed that on Straighterline, the lowest level math class they have as a TESU equivalent is College Algebra. That made me wonder if TESU would take anything lower from ALEKS. Hoping that someone who has actually done a lower level math class via ALEKS and transferred it to TESU will chime in from experience

Early on Aleks Beginning Algebra transferred as MAT-102 but could only be used for Gen Ed or free elective. It was later re-evaluated as a developmental course.

Thanks for this great info... were you working towards a BS or BA? It says I need 3 credits of numerical literacy, so I was wondering if ALEKS intermediate algebra would suffice for that, or whether i had to have the college algebra.
