You CAN get a BACS and a BALS at the same time; TESU considers it only one degree when the two have the same school (BA, BSBA, BS) and different AOS. But it doesn't really make sense to get a BALS when you're getting a BACS. A BALS is considered a "generic" degree while a BACS is a specific degree so you would be spending extra money for no real benefit. Instead, you might want to consider BACS + History, English, or Psychology. Any of these would be a better option than the BALS.

I think BALS is still helpful. Because it proves that you have taken more diverse college-level courses than just CS. In fact, I'm getting BALS and BACS at the same time. I'll be taking at least one-year worth of liberal arts courses for BALS degree.

You already need liberal arts courses to fulfill the gen eds.  I would never recommend this to someone because I don't see the value (anything that takes away from your ultimate goal is something that can make you miss the goal completely).  But if you see the value, go for it.

I’ve been weighing this dbl major idea and for what’s its worth (not much , cause I’m not an expert or even proficient in the topic of college degrees and programs.) imo its gonna take me 8 additional courses (24 credits that don’t overlap) to dbl major. Most masters programs are 10 courses 30 credits. 2 more courses , granted they will be tougher. A masters is probably more valuable in the professional world than a dbl major Although I have more expensive to get. ( again , I offer no evidence to this just my opinion ). So I’m thinking cruise on through ba then get masters if I still feel like more school. FWIW.
Now for others dbl major may be the way to go. I know someone who was a dbl major in finance/ Mgmt and it has worked out very well for him. So to each his/her own.

The way you make it work is by having electives for degree A be the AOS for degree B and vice versa so that you have minimal overlap. At least, that's how it worked before. Not sure how it works now. Skipping it entirely is probably a good idea at this point in time.

I think it has a lot to do with the majors, and the ultimate goals of someone, as to whether or not it's of value.  For your friend with Fin/Mgt, I would say the Finance degree was probably pretty valuable whether or not they did the Management portion, so it's hard to tell how much value that extra part brought.  

For a BACS, I'm not certain anyone who wants to hire a person with a CompSci degree is saying "I sure hope they took some additional courses in the Humanities."  They just won't care about that.

A double-major is not really an issue in and of itself, it's just that I've been on here for many years, and I see WAY too many people get caught up in the excitement of getting a degree, they do all of this planning for a double-major, or adding associates degrees, and then fizzle out when they haven't even finished a single degree.  Yes, if you're getting a BALS and can get an associates in the same cycle without doing an extra course, great.  But so many times, they just don't finish anything at all - they would have been much better off 99% done with 1 degree and just a capstone to take, then to be 50% towards 2 different degrees.  They let the double-degree stop them from getting a single degree.

So, if you're going to get a degree, work your way through it and then decide at the end if you want to postpone finishing it to get another major, or just finish.  You'll be in a much better place at that point to make a decision.
