Under the article on the TESU website that explains the difference between a college and university, someone asked if TESU is pursuing business accreditation. A TESU representative answered that they will be seeking accreditation from ACBSP. It's not the gold standard of AACSB, but it's the best a non-traditional school can hope for. ACBSP has broader recognition than IACBE. Some states automatically consider a CPA applicant qualified if he or she earned a degree from an AACSB or ACBSP business school. I've also seen federal governmet jobs requiring or preferring AACSB or ACBSP accreditation.

I don't know how ACBSP works. Some accreditors will count all degrees earned since the date of application for accreditation if the school is successful; some accreditors will only count degrees earned after the school was approved for accreditation. If you graduated before TESC put in its application, then your degree is not from an ACBSP-accredited business school regardless of when TESU is considered accredited.

This is all very exciting. I'm terrified they're going to come out with big changes in July and I will need to hurry up and register and lock in this year's plan before they change the game on us in a major way.
