Hi,
I was wondering if COSC accepts any work you do with ALEKS and also how does one sign up for an ALEKS test, anyway? It had two options on the site and they wanted some kind of course number for the Higher Ed option. Is that the correct option?
What would be the best thing for a person who sucks at math and whose last algebra class was in 1996?

Yes COSC accepts all ALEKS courses that are ACE certified.
Before paying the monthly membership fee, you could always go through free training like khan academy and once you feel comfortable with the concepts then sign up.

Yes, COSC accepts Aleks, but beginning or college algebra will NOT count toward your math requirement for your degree. Has to be at least Intermediate Algebra. They gave me 3 credits for beginning algebra, but only as gen. ed, not as math. I still had to do the Intermediate.
