Hello again! I was wondering has anyone found the material for edx classes ( they have sociology classes) and modern states dependable when it comes to their testing pursuits. On a scale of 1 -10 how was your experience? Mines was a 8. I love how modern states gives your vouchers and how the material is easily understood but I hated how not that much studied with them was on the CLEP.

I like them, but I wouldn't use them as your only source. I used them and Crash Course for Introductory Psychology.

In all honesty, this was a LOT more interesting than the Modern States instructor.

So far all of the Crash Course videos I've seen have been amazing. I used the Astronomy CC videos to pass the Astronomy DSST (I also have been an astronomy geek all my life, so there's that). I've been using the Econ videos to study for the Macroeconomics CLEP....I'll let you know how that goes next month ;-)

I use the Crash Course videos in the high school economics classes that I teach. They are excellent and very watchable. I also have a high opinion of edx. I completed two of the three differential equations courses for credit on edx. Very tough courses. I almost didn't pass the first. I was about a hundredth of a point away from credit and I worked with the graduate instructor on the course to pass. It was a great moment and I really appreciate that an actual person was there to help with the class.
I also completed the first two of five modules in the San Jose State Java Programming class via Edx. This was when MOOC's were all the rage and it would have meant SJSU credit for me. My problem was that I took it immediately after our twins arrived and I was mostly working on it after midnight when our newborns finally went to sleep. It was a really great class and very difficult. I would rate it as on-par with anything I would have taken at Michigan.

Noggin for me for the most part, but as you can see, I don't score super high on them.
