You might be surprised. I would suggest checking out websites for American expats living in Germany. I am not fluent in German, so some of the more advanced research was beyond my abilities, but what I found a few years back did seem to suggest that it was possible for a GED-holder without an actual Associate degree to study at a German university, so long as they transferred from an American university first.

Furthermore, don't bother with the High School diploma. I would use the energy/money/time to spend on your Bachelors instead. The TESU option is most optimal since those XAMK and other foreign credits from ENEB can hit some AOS requirements as well. You are on the right path, get started with some credits and ladder up to an Associates or two at TESU, and finally finish that Bachelors. Create a spreadsheet using the templates available on the WIKI for a guide and reference.

I can understand why a German might want a German degree for certain fields. From what I've heard, there is a lot of snobbery in the German business world. I once spoke to someone who was surprised to find out that one of their managers graduated from an online German university. That kind of thing is Just Not Done (not before 2020). Most management in a given company will come from a specific university. Exactly which university can vary depending on the company and the region.
For a German who just wants "a job", a school like TESU or UMPI are great options. But it seems like IReallyNeedADegree has a specific goal in mind. One that, unfortunately, TESU may not help with. Except, perhaps, to get an Associate's degree in order to go to a German or Swiss university later.

will do, but as far as i have planned it now I will most likely enroll into the UMPI AA in Liberal Studies and get as many needed credits, transfer them into the HSD and get both done around the same time. then I will apply as a transfer student to my dream universities and pray they accept me. If not Switzerland it is.
Now that we are on this topic I am kind of interested in ENEB for my father. He and my mom are divorced for the longest time, he was a very successful business man in his home country til he left to come here and has several years of experience in import export and the steel industry. He has no GED or anything comparable, what would be the most cost efficient way for him to leverage ENEB and/or maybe a US bachelors to get back on track with his career? Im talking about the fastest and cheapest way because unfortunately for him money is an obstacle right now and he wouldnt accept a penny of help

I did not mean that a non-US citizen should create a homeschool diploma, I meant that a US Citizen might be able to create one. Yet, you doubled down when I mentioned that IReallyNeedADegree is not American - reiterating your suggestion to make up a diploma.

I don't know if it's because you've had a long week at work or what, but you did post twice suggesting that IReallyNeedADegree should just make up a homeschool diploma.
Even if IReallyNeedADegree were American, making up a homeschool diploma is really terrible advice for someone who wants to study in not-America (abroad). I would have to double-check to be sure, but I think that the US is the only (First World) country that has both compulsory schooling and allows homeschooling. Trying to get into an international university with a homeschooling diploma is, at best, going to be difficult. It's more likely akin to asking the student to ride to the moon on a bicycle. It's not happening.
I did not double-down on suggesting a homeschool diploma; my 2nd post way saying that you couldn't necessarily KNOW that a US High school diploma from a home school was from a homeschool - I was just explaining some information.
