What are the actual words on a TESC diploma?
Does it say: "Bachelor of Arts Music", or simply "Bachelor of Arts" with no indication of major or catalog concentration, e.g. Humanities, Liberal Studies, etc.
How about Excelsior? or Charter Oak?
I'm not sure any of the admissions personnel every graduated from their employers' school because I sure get a lot of diffrent answers. I know it will probably be different depending on which division, e.g. Business, Nursing, Liberal Arts, you went through, but you'd think people would be able to tell you what their diplomas say.

Charter Oak just lists Bachelor of Science/Arts. Pretty sure that's true for their Business Degrees too.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

A BA through TESC only lists "Bachelor of Arts" on their diploma, regardless of major. However, your transcript will have your major on it. Now the BSBA is listed completely as "Bachelor of Science in Business Administration". Why they do this I cannot say but it really makes no difference IMO. If you earned a BA in History, like I did, then that's what you have regardless of what is printed on the diploma.

I hate to necro--post a thread from May, but I figured it was better than starting a new one.
As someone who is getting ready to graduate, does anyone know if you can request the diploma to be worded differently, i.e. having your degree on it? Has anyone tried doing this?

I don't think so. Only listing Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science on a diploma is common practice among colleges. I have yet to have an employer ask for my diploma. They always ask for transcripts when asking for proof of education.

Excelsior College does include the major (but not the Area of Focus or Liberal Studies) on the diploma. This thread has a couple of pictures:
