I been studying the flashcards, petersons, and the DSST material and just cannot seem to grasp who believes in what. I understand some of the different theorys but can never seem to remember who is responsible for what.
Any suggestions or tips to learn this? I just really want to take the exam but I know I'm not ready.
Thanks

I've taken Ethics in America also used peterson's, IC flashcards, I read some of the ethics book. I also felt like you did that I wasn't retaining any info. I began to type out and blend the notes and kept reading them, after two and a half weeks of studying I got 425 needed 400 to pass (I didn't take the essay question - TESC doesn't mark it).
My suggestion is to keep studying and with time I found it begins to come together. Know a bit on Confucianism, I remember a few questions on that and a question on Hinduism & Islam thrown in as well.
Hope this helps.

njdre80,
I can totally relate to your feelings about Ethics, I am also finding it hard to get a grasp on this material and I am scheduled to take the DSST Ethics test on 3/14 and the ECE Ethics test on 3/21. - so I feel your pain.
Try the guide posted on the below link, it has some good study resources and practice test questions.

lol, that was to funny- sad but true.
I think they should have called the exam -Philosophy in America rather then Ethics in America because it really has little ( at least in my opinion) to do with what is most commonly is thought of as ethics (doing what is right/good/etc).
