Amazing, sometimes the patients are correct and the physicians dismiss things too early!

A broken clock is right 2 times a day. Sometimes patients are correct and something is actually wrong. There are times when doctors and other providers are too dismissive because when you hear hoof beats all day long it’s usually a horse, not a zebra. It’s always good to listen patients but I usually dismiss the Dr. Google types who spend too much time on WebMD.

But the VAST majority of patients who self diagnosis or try to interpret labs or radiology on their own are wrong.

Bottom line, be your own advocate but you need to stay in your lane.

When I go to my doctor, I don’t tell them I am in healthcare nor do I tell them what I think is wrong with me.
