Taliban break promise on higher education for Afghan girls

If there was one war where a large percentage of women should have been fighting for freedom, this was it.

Not surprised by this at all. Women are not well thought of by them. Women have 1 purpose to them.

If anyone was gullible enough to believe them, I am ready with an African prince scam.

As Afghanistan tries to get back on its feet, the Taliban are forced to negotiate more openly with other countries, something that they have little experience in doing. Human rights are frequently a bargaining chip in such negotiations and its reasonable to assume that this will be an ongoing issue for some time.

I'm not surprised they lied. This crude, savage misogynistic bunch
NEVER tells the truth.
They even lie by using their chosen name, "Taliban" = "Students," which they are decidedly
NOT.

That's just oratory. How are the women and girls supposed to fight? Remember what those crazies did to Malala Yousafzai? She lived through those shots, when others might well have died. Not a winnable fight, when the MEN have all the guns. "Women don't like it? Then we'll kill a bunch. That'll convince 'em. It's the Will of Allah - Taliban-style." You can't simply reason with these dudes. Or fight them, empty-handed. Not possible. Fanatics suck!
