Anybody here work in HR Dept? My employer is paying for my tuition and I am down to two classes left at Excelsior College to get my B.S. in General Business.
I am trying to brainstorm and find the best way to either take additional accounting courses at my local community college, or LSU for accounting certification. I thought about going to CSU-Sacramento for their MS in Accountancy, but it seems an MBA w/concentration in Accounting might be a better choice, because I am a veteran in the US Army and Brenau University gives veterans 50% discount in tuition and it will only cost me around $8,000 and there is a total of 15 units.
I was advised by HR that both my manager and I have to complete a "detailed. progressive. performance. plan." My manager is really cool and has no problem signing off on this, but even he never heard of this. Only knows about something close to it, but it's for below average employees. When I asked for a sample, I was told there is no sample. err! I hope somebody here knows what I'm talking about. I have no problem getting something like this done, but don't know where to start. Getting the rest of my courses taken care of for undergrad was simple, because they have the tuition reimbursement forms to complete, but the master's degree doesn't use the same form.
