Delimma! Clep or Guided Study TESC classes - Business Law and International Manage.
#1
Everyone, I have 2 classes left to take. Business Law and Business in Society or International Management.

Has anyone done these as Guided Study at TESC?

On one hand, yes I know, the CLEP's are much cheap and quicker. On the other hand my job is paying. Why not take the course especially if its an interesting subject matter like the Law is to me?

All opinions are fair game, even ones about just do it and get it over with. Thanks in advance guys.

Business Ethics take the DSST. One of the easiest ones out there. If you really love Law, go ahead and try the class, but get a good mentor. Any idea would be to check out he online syllabus for one or both of the classes and also the textbooks. If you see something that would be a real pain or what not, that may help with your answer.

I took Business Law many years ago at El Camino Community College while working as an aerospace engineer. Before retirement I ended up very high in the ranks of successful project managers. Over many years I found my education in fundamental business law to be invaluable. At El Camino the course was taught by a senior lawyer working in the field of business law. His lectures and asides were great for me. Even if your opportunity in this subject is only via online, if the instructor is highly qualified, I think when you demonstrate to him that you are not just a juvenile ticket punching student he will give you a lot of individual attention either through course discussion board or by direct email correspondence. If you want to learn the material for long term memory, take the course.
