Degree plan for my mom
#1
My mom teaches at a private foreign language school and has been told she needs a bachelor's degree to continue to work there. She has course work that she took in Germany (G) and it has been translated into English - it looks roughly like 60 US credits. Looking at her coursework I have come up with the easiest route at EC and would like a little feedback.

We looked at TESU's Foreign Language degree, but she's not interested in taking a speech course. If her ACTFL credits are worth more at TESU than anywhere else, she'd choose TESU.

Your mom will probably get the most "bang for her buck" with the BALA as far as credits already acquired and ease of transferability. Plus she likely wont have to take as many additional courses since language related courses may qualify as humanities/social science/language/ electives etc when used to fill the spreadsheet. With 60 credits, she could be finish by Winter Session.

ACE Shows ACTFL courses being worth less than what you have them for, they changed last year and went down. So if EC will give her that many credits, that is definitely her best bet over TESU.

LSU DL has Readings in German Lit as an additional option. $728.

I still see it as 36 when adding in the reading and listening. But I think we are over anyway.

Ah...I only have OPIc & WPT. I hadn't heard what the other exams were worth, so don't have those on my spreadsheet.

Yeah Smile they are worth 6 credits each and have been confirmed to transfer into TESU. CLEP also doesn't duplicate so there is an option for 45 credits total.

She's 9 UL short at EC, how many science credits would she need at TESU and would her math transfer into her Liberal arts degree?
