Hi.
I finish beauty school on Sept 30th! Want to start for my Bachelors on Oct 14th . Need to do it part time since I will be working too...
Don't care which degree I get ... just want something quick that I could finish is maybe 2 years. My budget is $7500. Is that possible?
Lets assume I have no credits. Community college is out of the question for a number of reasons.
I honestly don't think I want to test out of a ton of courses. I only want to take 2 clep's. Not a huge test person -- the studying is hard to do with two young kids. I prefer self paced instead.
After getting the degree I want to go to fashion school to get some certifications.
Was going to follow the degree plans on the Wiki but they seem kind of out of date as well as CLEP focused. Any advice appreciated.
I'm a mom I'm a wife
I'm pregnant with baby #3!
I'm a African American women
I'm a nail tech as of 1/6/2017!
Now onto getting my bachelors degree!
Finally the future looks bright!

Using straighterline, study.com, and saylor I'd say it's completely possible.

Yes, it's entirely possible and could be done for a little cheaper than $7500 as well.
Please see the guide here: The Basic Approach - Degree Forum Wiki - Wikia
The Big 3 - COSC, EC and TESU are very good options
Competency Based Degrees - Northern Arizona, Patten, Hodges, Western Govenors University
If you want more info - read the wikia Degree Forum Wiki - Wikia
Spend some time reading the forum and wikia, it'll be a life saver!

Before posting my question I looked on the wiki and it kept saying " Warning!
This degree plan is based on an outdated catalog." And it recommends I ask the forum directly instead.
Even so -- many of the degree plans are/were based around CLEP tests which I don't want to do.
I am also unsure what degree I should focus on getting. I just want a degree quickly but don't know which one allows for the most ACE credits and the cheaper price.
I have considered WGU and the BIG 3 but still don't know which degree to aim for.
I'm asking for guidance please.

There are still degree plans on the wiki that are not out of date. It's hard to give you any direction without an understanding of your interest or background. Even if you avoid CLEP/DSST (which i would also avoid), you'll still be taking a lot of test-out options if you want to get through quickly.
one of the BSBA degrees will likely be quickest and cheapest, but it will require test-outs, and may not be something that holds your interest long enough to motivate you to complete it. I know I would never have a degree if I went with something that I have no interest in learning all about, and that probably includes a business degree.

Found 2 plans...
interest isn't a factor for me. Can become excited about anything really just takes a bit of time.
Business or IT seem like the cheapest and fastest options that don't require a ton of tests. Still unsure however.

Actually, the BSBA mentioned by JSD is exactly what I would recommend you as well. As it's the easiest/fastest way to get a degree.
Further to that, the previous link I sent you also has a spreadsheet plan I copied from Dfrecore, all the courses a NON CLEP/DSST.
The reason I sent it to you is because, I myself, live far from a testing site and don't have the time to drive back and forth for exams.
The courses are all ACE courses from multiple providers, the cheapest/easiest/fastest way to get the degree is in that spreadsheet.
Please click that Basic Approach - Online Education Guide as it will explain all that I just mentioned... and your first/second steps.
PS: Do you have any more of them cupcakes? If not, please make some when you get your degree in a few months, not 2 years.

Here are two spreadsheets that dfrecore created, they're likely the cheapest options, both under $6k. They don't rely on CLEP/DSST at all, but there are still some areas that will be exam-heavy
BSBA general management -- http://www.degreeforum.net/attachments/g...-2016.xlsx
BSBA with Computer Information Systems concentraion - http://www.degreeforum.net/attachments/g...cheap.xlsx
They're both outdated only in that they refer to a free "Kaplan PLA" course that is no longer valid that you can probably replace with a $25 Shmoop history or misc Saylor course, or $20 ALEKS course if there are any available that don't duplicate what's needed elsewhere in the plan... and the CIS doesn't include the new $300 required cornerstone that TESU makes you take with them (self paced, pass/fail). The General Management already takes that course into account.

What do you hope to achieve by having a degree? Is it for a job? For a license? for personal fulfillment? These are the things that usually determine the major you choose.
Do you just need a degree for promotion/advancement in an already established career? This is normally the case for posters who don't care which subject the degree is in. The answer I would provide to these users is, what is your strongest area?
A business degree is very possible to accelerate quickly, if you have business experience. If you have no prior knowledge, the amount of time it will take will depend on how quickly you learn. This is a pretty big commitment for most people, I (and likely others) am not comfortable making suggestions without understanding your goal a little better.
Currently studying for: Still deciding.
Done!

Precisely.
Asking us to tell you what degree path you should take without providing us specific information is like you asking us what gift you should give your mom for her birthday. You'd know her better than any of us, we can't help you without background. Likewise, you know yourself better than any of us. Detail is always key.
