He's thinking general or a concentration in HR Management which he seems to have a particular interest in.

Is there a reason he didn't complete Precalc and Stats through ALEKS?

Here is what I have so far from the information you provided. Some course may be able to be moved to different spots. You will really want to get dfrecore involved with this plan. Seems to be the go to person for an question relating to a Degree at TESU

He was going with the WGU plan as he chose classes, and he decided to take Stats and Business Stats via SL instead of ALEKS for some reason. He was struggling with stats on ALEKS when his 6 month membership ended, and he said he wanted to try it elsewhere.

THANKS! He's finishing up SL's Principles of Management and English Comp 2 today, but tomorrow we'll sit down and look this over. He's pretty set on WGU, but I think it's nice to have options and for him to choose what he feels will be best, obviously.

TESU will accept more alternative credits then WGU. WGU you will need to do a set amount from them. TESU you only technically need to do 1 course through them (strategic management) assuming that you apply after having 104 credits to waive the cornerstone.

WGU is way more particular about where they'll accept ACE courses from. They will take CLEP and DSST, and SL because they're a partner college. But I don't think they will take Study.com or ALEKS. So he may want to find out about that before he enrolls.

The other thing with WGU is that after applying but BEFORE enrolling, all transfers of credit must be done. Anything you want to take after you enroll won't count. So, he needs to get everything settled before he enrolls.

If he ends up at TESU, make sure you know what these will count for. Intro to Business and Personal Finance are Free Electives, so that section is completely done. Make sure you don't waste your time/money on anything else that's a free elective.

If you take Financial & Managerial Accounting at SL, make sure you take Accounting I & II (not Financial & Managerial) because the 4 different courses count separately and differently. That's important.

Also, Project Management is fine for HR (I have it in my AOS), but I would get it pre-approved since it's not on their list and not specifically considered an HR course. It would suck to have it not count and have nowhere to go if he has to spend much time on it.

Regarding Business Stats, SL's Business Stats course duplicates the Intro to Stats course, and Study.com doesn't have Business Stats (just Principles of Stats, which also duplicates). The only Business Stats course that will work as a non-duplicate is the Saylor Business Stats course (comes in as OPM-351). Also, if he ends up taking HR instead of Gen Management, it won't have anywhere to go - it's not considered math, so it won't go in Gen Ed, and it's non part of the HR AOS.

He definitely needs to decide on the AOS before he takes any additional courses there - maybe he wants to take Org Behavior and Strategic HRM and then stop and move back to the core and Gen Eds before making a final decision. Because at that point, he needs to take Org Development (CSU-Global) and then 2 more HR courses, whereas if he goes with Gen Management, he'll need to take 2 MAR/FIN/ACC courses instead. It makes a difference.
