Dantes testing sites: Houston
#1
Anyone in Spring, TX take Dantes test? My testing center doesn't give dantes and I will have to search for a testing center. What website can I go to to find a testing center nearby? Smile

Casey,

I live "just up the road" from you in The Woodlands. I found the easiest place to take the DANTES tests is at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville.

Here is the link to their web site: http://www.shsu.edu/~tst_www/index.html

They require that you complete a registration form (they can fax or mail one to you). Once the test comes in, they will call you and you can tell them at that time what date you want to take the test, or call them back later with a date. BE WARNED: if you need to CHANGE the date, they do charge $30 to make the change - it sucks!!
If you have any additional questions, feel free to send me a PM.

Good luck!

Hi Casey,

The site to find Dantes testing centers is http://www.getcollegecredit.com/particip...tions.html

BTW, ceekay, the collegeboard.com site is for CLEP testing. DSST is on getcollegecredit.com

There aren't any testing centers for DSST in Spring, but there are a few in Houston.

Houston Community College http://www.hccs.cc.tx.us

University of Houston http://www.las.uh.edu

Good luck,

Thanks for the replies. It looks like Sam State or Phenoix off the beltway would be closest. That is some bewl that they charge 30 bones to re-schedule. I have to re-schedule sometimes due to not having enough time during the week to study. But I guess Ill just schedule a few days in advance. Ill post on how I do. Smile
