DSST Technical Writing at TESC

Anyone know if TESC requires the essay portion of the DSST Technical Writing exam?

Also- If anyone's an English major, do you know if TESC will count the Technical Writing exam as part of the major requirements? Because on the list of suggested English electives for majors, Technical Writing is listed.

I found some posts saying TESC doesn't require the essay. Anyone applied recently and still found this to be true?

I'm pretty sure it'll count toward the degree req's for English BA, but anyone found this to be true?

I'm trying to avoid emailing them if I can. I could be done with the test already before they finally get back to me.
