I passed the DSST Principles of Finance a couple weeks ago. I stumbled across Study.com a few months ago while studying for the Excelsior Organizational Behavior & Human Resource Management exams. I passed both of the by using the program on Study.com. Their program goes chapter by chapter, most of them have videos explaining the material & each chapter section has a 5 question quiz at the end, followed by a 25 - 30 question chapter exam. They also have a 50 question final exam. It was awesome because I could monitor my progress and see what areas I needed help in. I used 2 courses at Study.com for the DSST Principles of Finance: Finance 101 Principles of Finance & Finance 301 Corporate Finance. Between the 2, they covered 95% of the material I saw on the DSST Principles of Finance exam. I remember seeing a lot of accounting ration questions, like the quick ratio, current ratio, etc. Know those inside & outside. Getting those 5-6 questions correct allowed me to basically ignore the Net Present Value questions (about 5-6 of those). You can do that when you only need ~53% correct to pass. The only downside to Study.com: it cost $60 / month. Considering I couldn't find any other material online to study with, and it came with videos & a ton of questions, I thought it was well worth it. Note: I studied for this exam starting Saturday morning through Monday night (Monday was a national holiday) & passed the DSST Principles of Finance on Tuesday @ Noon.
