There's very helpful info on specific feedback, you must be logged on to use the section.Generally there's a lot of appreciation for the IC content, and most people also use wikepedia in addition. The official DSST guide is also mentioned, they say its helpful to know all the pre and post tests in there. What still confuses me is whether all these material are equally helpful for either Versions of the test. I am likely to take the older version at my testing center.Check out the specific feedback section!

I just took this test today and got a 467 on it. A valuable resource for this test is the online version of the DSST guide: http://www.petersons.com/pdf/free/DSST.pdf The later posts in the Specific Tests Info section are indicative of the current DSST. You can also take a practice test on the DSST Prometrics site for $5. The DSST practice test is a bit harder than the actual test, and the Petersen's about the same difficulty. For reference, I got 62% correct on the DSST practice tests, 75-78% correct on the Petersen's practice tests, and then 467 on the actual test.

Good Luck!

Did you have to write an essay for your exam?
How do they grade you? Did you get your score after takeing the test
or do you have to wait for the final result?
Just woundering I just started reading the study guide
ethic in america. So far totally confused.

I'm a TESC student and TESC doesn't require the essay, so no, I didn't do the essay question. If you take the computerized test, you get the score immediately; if your school requires the essay, the essay gets sent to the school to score (and you still get the score from the MC section immediately.)

Regarding the study guide - it's a quick overview, so can be a bit confusing if you have no background in the subject. I also read the Idiot's Guide to Understanding Ethics, which has a very logical progression of the Ethics branch of Philosophy. If you can find this used or at your local library, it might help put the quick info in the DSSt study guide into context.
