On American I enjoyed US History 1. The IC cards are right on target and I used REA as a supplement, along with free presentations from hippocampus.org for the AP US History.
Passed:
American Gov, US History 1, US History 2, Computing, Info Systems, Humanities, Sociology, Art, Western Civ I, Western Civ II, Social Sciences and History, Civil War, Business, Vietnam, A&I Lit, Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice, American Lit, English Lit, Astronomy, Supervision, 1 FEMA, Total -79

Dittos on the US History 1, although I used only REA & some Wikipedia/other sites.
I haven't taken Western Civ, but there's 2 CLEP tests on it...
Fine Arts CLEPS you could take are Analyzing & Interp. Lit, Humanities, English Lit, or American Lit. All are 6 credits.
The Intro to Psych CLEP is pretty easy, I used REA & a lot of internet resources.
If your college accepts College Mathematics (which a lot don't), it's pretty much a breeze as long as you're good at logic & pretty basic algebra. There's tons of probability & logarithmic function questions.
Good luck :]

Welcome to the forum!
If you are not attending the Big 3, be sure to check the CLEP policy at your school. It should be in the handbook and/or the website. It should say very clearly which exams can be used for specific courses. Also check to see how many credits you are allowed to use from CLEP exams (30 is often the limit).

If you've never taken a CLEP before, you might want to start with A&I Lit. I started with US History, & although it turned out alright I was very overwhelmed by it. If you aren't very comfortable with History, then you might want to consider getting comfortable with CLEP first. If you do decide to do U.S. History first, I definitely recommend REA. It was pretty much right on as long as you practically memorized the book & reviewed the practice tests endlessly :] (I'm not an IC member, but a lot of people say that IC is really good for this one)
