Which exam is easier?
DANTES Introduction to Computing or CLEP Information Systems and Computer Applications I can take either. my grade doesn't count towards my GPA. thanks =)!!!

Go with Intro to Computing. It is way easier than the CLEP.

cheersmate I did the DSST for Intro to Comp and it was ridiculously easy!! I studied IC for a couple of hours in total and did so casually. Blew through the test in 30 minutes EASY!

The CLEP was ridiculously difficult. I don't recall seeing anything about a spreadsheet, or "basic" computer terms. They even threw in pseudocode problems and stuff I had not seen before. I did pass with a 62 but I did learn the stuff a long time ago in a high school course.

I looked over the IC flashcards for both Clep and DSST - I chose DSST and passed with a 466.
Unless you are knowledgable about computers other than operation, study the flashcards.

I did the CLEP it was more involved in networks, systems and more involved things. I wish TESC gave them different credits becuse they are really different.

I haven't taken the Clep, but I did pass the DSST. There is more than enough info in specific feedback and IC to pass.

I took the clep and it wasnt too bad. I thought that the MIS dsst was easier than the IS clep. DSST are easier than Cleps so you prolly should take the Into to comp, if your at TESC it will be intro to comp on your transcript anyways.
