If you are going through TESC, you need to switch your Freshman Comp to English Comp w/Essay. Also, in your concentration, you have too much 100 level credit (9 instead of 6)- your Social Science and History will fill that with 6, so you need to pull out micro (3) and put in something 200+

Oh really? Thanks a lot.
In the TESC College Catalog it looked liked Freshman Comp. w/ Essay would work for English. Hmm.
And I didn't know it was the amount of credit for the concentration that mattered. The information said "A maximum of two college- level courses equating to the 100 level can be applied toward the area of concentration.", so I thought the two 100 level classes were acceptable. Shoot. I'm not sure what other 200 plus I have to use! lol

Anyway, thanks again!

Okay, so I added English Comp. w/ Essay and added History of the Vietnam War. I think all of my credits are right now.

Jennifer, please help me out. When I read the TESC catalog, I only see the two 100 level courses restriction listed under the three Areas of Concentration. The Areas of Study (at least English) doesn't list the restriction. I'm trying to help my daughter map out a plan to BA, English, so this would help a lot. Also, if anyone knows where the three lit cleps fit in (100 or 2-300), I'd appreciate that, too.

Double check about Freshman/vs English Comp, I met that criteria in 2007, so it's totally possible that they allow both (but they didn't used to).

I know it says 2 classes, and I don't know why they say that. Maybe because they won't let 3ea. 2 credit classes count? I don't know- but I am 100% sure you won't get social science and history for 6 AND another 100 level. They will actually split your 6 credit CLEP into 2 entries on your transcript. Ex. it might say History 111, 3 credits and History 112, 3 credits.

There are more history exams than anything else. For me, I'm not so into history, so I used all the psych/sociology/social science/anthropology exams plus psych and soc classes. TESC has a 300 level course that is 6 credits called Social Psychology. I found it pretty easy and not too heavy work load (considering it's 6) with the same amount of homework and tests as all my other 3 credit classes. Anyway, it fills the major requirement and it was a good amount of credit if you need a back up idea.
