In everyone's experience, how lenient is Thomas Edison State College with allowing you to count classes as upper level history courses, even if they aren't taught in the history department at the school where you took them?
For example, I have 9 hours of upper level credit in the following classes:
Ancient Roman Topography
Pompeii and Herculaneum
History of the African American Theatre
I'd like to apply these as upper level electives toward the TESC History BA, but I'm wondering if they'll let me do it. The first two courses are classics courses that were taught in the classics department and the last course was taught by the theatre/drama department. Also, a local college in the area offers an upper level class called History of Mathematics, but it is taught by the math department, not the history department.
Anyone have any experience with this?
