Has anyone taken English II with Torah? how many essay are required? do they have a sylabus?

My brother took this course. It had six essays. There were five 500 word essays and one 1000 word research paper. The papers were all on literary analysis type topics: poetry, plays, authors, etc. He liked it and got an A. It takes a few days for each assignment to get graded. I think it took him about six weeks while working on other subjects.
