Hello everyone! I haven't been on instantcert in forever, and I believe this is my first post. I used instantcert to help me with a few CLEP's and DSST's months ago and it worked great for me. Right now, I'm looking to finish my a Bachelor's Degree in as little time as possible so I can try to get my Butter Bar with my old ANG unit. I recently separated from the military, and have realized I miss it, and I've decided to go for a pilot slot. As far as my prior educational experiences, I've got my CCAF degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technology, have attended a couple of universities, both in-residence and online. I've looked into the B.S. in Liberal Studies thru EU, and also the Aircraft Maintenance B.S. from TESC. So, after much searching, reading, reviewing, analyzing....I've gotten nowhere. I can't decide what would be quickest. I'm going to list the courses I've taken in my signature following my posting. What I'm looking for is a little input and direction. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated, as I have most likely overlooked many things. I'm looking forward to working with you all!!!!

I'm currently attending TESC and I think they're pretty flexible. However, from what I've read here Excelsior seems even more flexible. Either way you should be fine, although Aircraft Maintenance may look better on a resume if that's the field you're going to be in. BTW I've thought about going to OCS for ANG myself recently. I'll pm you maybe you can give me some advice.

I appreciate the input. I have read that Excelsior is very flexible, but, like you said....the Aircraft Maintenance degree might look better on my application. I still haven't taken my A&P tests, and I think that's required for the TESC degree. Feel free to shoot me a message! Also, does anybody know what credits TESC will give you for your A&P?

Welcome to the forum!

Sounds like you are really leaning towards something in the aircraft/aviation field. I don't know if Excelsior offers anything in that area; you'll need to check.

However, since you mentioned the BSLS as Excelsior, I just thought I would add:

Have you seen the degree template put together by Alissa? This is for the BS in Liberal Studies at Excelsior. It helps to put your current credits in to the plan and see what credits you will still need.

Thanks for the link NAP. I am definitely leaning towards the aviation field, but If the BSLA is quicker/easier, I'm open to it. I'll plug some numbers into that template and see what I come up with. I just finished a roadmap for the TESC BSAST Aircraft Maintenance Technology, and it looks like it would be pretty easy, if I actually test for my A&P, which i've been putting off for a few years...haha. Thanks for the info!
