College Mathematics Clep today!
#1
Thank you for all the info found in this forum.

I know most posts say this test is easy, but I am really nervous about it. I haven't taken a math course in almost 15 years!

I've been studying HARD for almost a month.

The peterson's tests were killer (scoring 50, 32, 50) and the REA tests were not much better for me--but my last REA test was a 60.

I really need to pass this to graduate next month and begin grad school in the fall!

Ok...wish me luck...

Thanks for all your help on this board!

Woooo hooooo ha ha - that's the same score I got when I took it. Great minds think alike Wink

And even if we're not math geniuses, we still get 6 credits for the test, just like everyone else that passes.

This is the next exam for me (but it only equates to 3 credits, boo!). Did you find that one practice exam, REA vs Peterson, was more closely matched to the actual exam than the other?

The most representative practice test for College Mathematics is from the CLEP Official Study Guide. If you need help understanding topics, use this website: College Mathematics - CLEP Info.com

I knew that I needed to review complex numbers in order to make a perfect score, but I decided not to spend the effort. I'm happy with my 77. You can afford to ignore a few topics that don't interest you and still pass.
63 CLEP Sociology
75 CLEP U.S. History II
63 CLEP College Algebra
70 CLEP Analyzing and Interpreting Literature
68 DSST Technical Writing
72 CLEP U.S. History I
77 CLEP College Mathematics
470 DSST Statistics
53 CLEP College Composition
73 CLEP Biology

The practice tests were much more harder than the test itself!

REA might be more accurate, but the Peterson tests almost made me throw in the towel all together! I could have sworn (based on the Peterson's tests) that I was the biggest math idiot on earth! (well, I might be, but it was still passable!)

I also had an extra REA practice test book I used. I think the best way to practice is to use the tests then focus on what's and why's of your wrong answers

Good luck!
