I passed the test with a 77 (at least, I think it was a 77; my sig has the info) after getting 55-60% of the questions right on two of the Peterson's practice tests. The best study strategy I can suggest is going through the Peterson's practice tests found at CLEP Practice Tests. Once you finish a test, go through and study what you got wrong and go to Khan Academy and learn about it. I was a low A math student in high school and I thought this test was easy, if that helps as a reference point.
I couldn't ever emphasis the importance of Peterson's practice tests to studying for the CLEP. They would be worth selling a kidney to fund the $19.95 for the three of them that come in every bundle.
