Has anyone taken this test successfully? I'm getting ready to take mine in about a week and I'm very nervous. I also have some questions like do they provide a calculator? Scratch paper? Is it all multiple choice or are there really fill-in-the-blanks questions?
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I took my college math clep about 4 months ago. It was alot more common math than I had originally assumed. Depending what level of math you took in high school there may be very little studying required. I was in advanced classes for math, but that was 7 years ago. Most of the general questions came back to me within the first couple questions

I passed with 77. There's a calculator built in to the computer. The testing center gives you scratch paper. It's mostly multiple choice but there are a few fill in the blank questions too. Don't sweat this one too much; if you did math in high school you will be just fine with some review.
https://www.khanacademy.org/ is terrific for this test

I just took College Math CLEP test about a week ago, and found it a lot easier than i thought it would be! It is a 90 minute test for 60 questions, so you don't have to rush too much!
Personally, I was really nervous too, so i rushed through it and then realized I had extra time so I went back over my answers. :-)

I am taking this class in two weeks as well. I am worried sick about this test. Since there are 60 questions on this test and my school requires a min. score of 50 does that mean that I can only miss 10 questions?

No. Not at all.
The minimum score you can get is a 20. The max score is 80. 50 is passing. It's a scaled score, not percentage. I will say this... (according to some info I have) even if you missed ten, you'd still walk away with an 80 and to get a 50, you need to answer LESS then HALF the questions correctly.

Ok thanks. My confidence level was just boosted!

Seriously, how many questions deal with this subject matter? My two sons are trying to study for this test. Completed a College Math coursebook and nothing on complex numbers or logic. Any help would be beneficial. Thanks

As others have said, this test isn't that hard. I am not very good at math, and I still did well.
Cracking the CLEP has some good strategies for solving the problems in there. I don't have it on hand at the moment, but the basic idea is that you don't need to actually find the answer. You just need to know which of the multiple choice answers is correct. This lets you take shortcuts. If you need to multiply a few multi-digit numbers you could just round them and figure out the answer that way. (Although there is a calculator so that wouldn't really apply) For algebra they give you a plugging in method - you pick a number and plug it into the equation, which really helps solve it.
