Clovis to TESC? and Clovis Review of Psy and Ethics
#1
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has transferred Clovis psychology to TESC? I am working on my PSY degree and was hoping that I could take psy clep also without over-lap.

Clovis CC Class Reviews:

Psychology online at Clovis is no joke. Lots of reading (100-120 pages per week in the 8wk course), 14 weekly discussion questions that need to be well thought-out, 4 exams, and 1 essay. It is not proctored, but the exam time is too short to be able to look up answers in the text. I've really enjoyed it but it is a lot of work time-wise.

Ethics online at Clovis has been much easier. I'm in the 8 week semester so it's more work at once than the 16wk. It includes weekly reading of about 40-50 pages, online quizzes that are 10 questions for each chapter (2 per week), 2 essays in APA format, and 2 weekly discussion questions on the blackboard/canvas. Also not proctored because no exams, just weekly quizzes. My teacher is Ms McGillSmile

For both classes it was $396 for out of state tuition, but I was able to use my pell grant. I rented one textbook for 35 and bought the other for 60 with guaranteed by back.

Thanks for the review! Will you please let me know who was the professor for the Ethics class? Roger E. Cole or Shawna D. McGill?

Thanks!

Transfer is generally simple. Can you write the alpha-numeric of the courses you're taking? Example: ENG101

Hi, I was wondering if maybe it would be considered a step up from 101 once transferred. Compared to Clep Psy it cover a lot more subjects even though it is psy 101 at Clovis. Then I could also take the clep for a 101 credit kwim?

It really doesn't matter that the course covers more material than the Intro to Psychology CLEP. If the course is called Intro to Psychology or Essentials of Psychology, it's going to be transcribed as PSY 101. TESC goes by course descriptions and I'm sure the course description for the Clovis course basically says it's introductory.
