Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY offers both its MS and PhD in Computer Science online.
"Areas of expertise in the department span theory, artificial intelligence, software, graphics and visualization, systems, security, and networking."
I called the Clarkson graduate admissions office today asking if there are required or expected on-campus visits, or are these degrees fully online. Both the MS and PhD in computer science can be completed fully online, the office replied.
Tuition for graduate computer science is 1533 per credit hour. The PhD requires 90 credit hours in graduate courses but will this can include up to 30 credit hours transferred from a master's degree.

Because it's Clarkson! It's a well known private technical research university. If one graduates from Clarkson it's almost impossible not to land a job in your field. It's a big engineering and science school. In state and out of state are all charged the same unlike SUNY schools. If you're an out of state resident your tuition wouldn't be much less and the employment opportunities aren't quite the same. Clarkson is really dedicated to students finding employment which isn't the case with SUNY schools where you're just a number.

I mean, it's only $1533/credit and you just need 90 credits... Let me see, even if you transfer in 30 credits, that'll leave you with 60. That's close to 90K still for a somewhat well known PhD... still a lot more than I would afford, sticking to the ones under 30K for now unless I get scholarships.

I think I might have come across the name once searching for stuff online. They don't have that many students, and they don't appear to excel in any particular area, so that's probably why I hadn't heard of them.

Not a super small school. They are known around the world for engineering and science. Potsdam is a very small town in northern NY near the Canadian border.

I think this might just be some local bias. Their rankings aren't impressive in any particular category -- even engineering they're #126, and worse in various science fields. I don't think this is well known school outside of NY area.

I was accused of local bias by northeasterners when I said that University of Texas at Austin is well-known, but their high national and global rankings, high specialty rankings in many fields of study, multiple NCAA championships, having one of the largest study abroad programs, $43 billion endowment, and large student body speak for themselves. I'm not really seeing anything to support that Clarkson is well-known.

UT Austin is unquestionably well known, so there's no comparison.
