I asked about 6mo ago for advice on how to get back into school and I've decided to go with TESU and go for a BSBA with a CIS concentration. Thank you to everyone that helped with that, I've gone through and added some detail to a spreadsheet that was given to me back then, adding in the place where I found the course to take and the course number (study.com, SL, etc).
I'm planning on applying to TESU next week to get my old CC credits evaluated, but if anyone can help and look over the spreadsheet I've attached I would be very appreciative.
My goal is a BSBA with CIS concentration, and then an MBA once that is complete. I've got the money ready to start taking courses, and I'm planning to knock out the GE courses first. I'm only getting the degree to put on my resume, so if there are significantly cheaper options on testing out please let me know that as well.
I do also have a ton of testing centers nearby for CLEP as I'm just outside Kansas City, I would consider doing courses that way if there are great advantages.
Hello, I have homework for you! Since you have a few CLEP centers near you, there are a few recommendations I have.
For courses available at MS/CLEP, chose those over the StraighterLine and Study.com options in your spreadsheet.
Finally, for your AOS courses, follow this link for the recommended courses, you can take the DSST if you wanted to.
However, basically, I would suggest sticking with Study.com unless you get that course free.

I'll go through and updated those, thank you for the advice. Would it be correct to say that credits earned via CLEP testing shows better than from study.com/SL/saylor/etc?
I read through the post on the AOS, I've got Intro To Programming C++ (3); Info Systems Analysis and Design (3) for my required, then my electives I've got Bus 303 - MIS (UL)(3); CompSci 303 - Database Management (UL)(3); and Business 309/MAR-441 - Digital Marketing & Advertising (UL)(3). I'm short one course, doesn't need to be UL and I'd like to get it at Saylor/SL/Study.com but I'm not seeing a course through those 3 that fits in there. I did see Study.com has "Computer Science 102: Fundamentals of Information Technology" which TESU equiv is CMP-202, not sure if that would work as an elective in the CIS AOS. Worst case if I that doesn't work, I can do a DSST on "Fundamentals of CyberSecurity".
Also I have filled in the CLEP where I could, on my Gen Ed electives I still have a ANT-150 via SL, I am wondering if I could do PSY-211 Developmental Psychology instead since I can CLEP that one?

I spent a bit more time trying to find options for CLEP courses and updated the spreadsheet, I've got it as a Google doc now. I used another member's spreadsheet as a guide as well (his is here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...1087778142)
This is what I have so far, I'm going to apply to TESU next week I think and see what they think of this, but any feedback on if my changes will cause me issues would be appreciated. I've still got one DSST exam for Principles of Finance that I couldn't find elsewhere, and two Saylor courses for Principles of Management and Principles of Marketing.
Reading the forum this morning I found someone that had done a ASNSM with a BSBA, I had figured to just do the BSBA w/CIS but now I'm thinking about the dual option. My eventual masters will likely be an MBA so I could use a bit more CIS focus, if the ASNSM isn't too much more work to get at the same time I can see some value in that. If there are many of the same courses between my BSBA w/CIS and the ASNSM, does that cause any problems when trying to get both degrees conferred at the same time?
Just found a thread about modernstates so I'll be looking into that to see if I can get some vouchers for the 10 CLEP courses I'll be taking. I also applied to TESU and got my transcript sent over there, hopefully I hear back from them next week so I can get a formal evaluation of my degree plan. I'm still thinking it would be good to get the ASNSM, from what I can see it should only be 6 additional credit hours to get it at the same time as the BSBA (CIS) but we'll see what TESU says.
