I'm finishing up my creative project and capstone paper. Does anyone know if you label each chapter and start each new chapter on a new page?
Example: I finish Chapter 1 assignment only half way down the page, do I start a new page and label it Chapter 2?
I'm using MLA since it is a creative project and keep finding conflicting info.
One site says use headings and sub-headings, but doesn't mention chapter breaks. My instruction sheet from TESC has assignments separated by chapters, which leads me to believe I should use them, but doesn't mention if I should use them in the actual paper. I've seen sample papers with them in and some without them.
I don't feel like asking my instructor is a good choice...

Why wouldn't asking your instructor be a good choice? The instructor is the one grading it, wouldn't it be best to know what format they want the paper in?

Gooberman, who is your mentor? I am on Module Four of the capstone under Dr. Haydel.
I would strongly urge you to contact your mentor and try to get a feel for what they want in the format. My mentor has been very available, and I've not hesitated to phone her when something wasn't clear.
What I am doing is I am writing the chapters all on the same document, and then copy and paste the individual chapters on separate docs for individual grading. That way, when Module Six comes around in about four weeks, I'll have them all together and it cuts down on a lot of time putting them together.
When you say 'label each chapter' are you referring to the running heads? I know Dr. Haydel insists we have a correct running head on each assignment, so I have to spend a bit of time on each assignment correctly formatting it.

Asking my mentor seems to result in a docked grade. quick example.. Confirmed creative projects should be done in MLA, they said "Yes", did rough drafts in MLA, got docked for not using APA, sent follow up question with previous email starting to follow MLA, mentor replied"MLA is fine", but didn't adjust grade. Happened to a few of us. 2 other questions have had same result. Very strange (maybe someone else is grading or something).
Anyway, my question is trying to figure out how to flow from chapter 1 assignment to ch 2 assignment and so on...
If my intro assignment from chapter 1 assignment ends half way down the page, do I begin my ch. 2 assignment directly following ch 1 on the same page (but new heading and paragraph) OR do I start the new ch 2 assignment on the top of the next page (more like chapters in a book)?

Did your mentor give you any sample projects? From copies others have given me of theirs I've noticed that mentors greatly differ in what they're looking for throughout the Capstone. In regards to chapters, in my case (Prof. Peck), most of the chapters in the sample projects started on a new page, however, there are one or two examples where they're on the same page and she didn't take points off for it. I'm going with the majority, though, just to be sure.

Thank you!
No, my professor didn't let us see any sample projects. A sample that this professor liked would have helped. As we all know, professors have very differing opinions (UGG!) so it is hard to "guess" what they want. Oh well, praying that I am on the right track by going with the majority also.

Wow, I'm sorry you have a hard professor (I did a research project and used APA but) I started each chapter on a separate page. That's tough to not have a sample. Though our sample was each individual Capstone chapter, not the whole assembled paper.
