Can home schooled teen take Penn Foster College Courses?
#1
Does Penn Foster require a formal high school diploma or GED? Has anyone been required to show them a high school diploma?

I do believe you are required to provide proof of graduation if you enroll in a degree or diploma program.

I took individual courses there. I was not required to provide such proof.

It appears as if a dual enrollment option isn't available. Admissions & How to Enroll | Penn Foster

Use caution, their college courses are NOT regionally accredited.

Thanks for the advice-I am only planning to take one college course there. I heard that TESC & COSC accept "Financial Management", so I tried to register and in the fine print it said I would be required to show a high school diploma before completing the course,so I wanted to know if they are strict about it (or if they accept a home school diploma). Thanks again,

Call this number 800-238-9554 and ask to sign up for an individual course. They won't ask for your high school info unless you enroll in one of their programs.

Update. Now you are required to sign a course enrollment agreement for an individual course and must certify that you have a high school diploma or GED.

Just for additional info on this topic--I'm a homeschool alumnus, and was able to get into Liberty University with my homeschool transcript signed by my dad. It listed the classes I had taught, the extra curricular activities I did, and all of my grades.
