Below is # 8 under :Ways to Earn Undergraduate Credit on Excelsiors website.

Any ideas, thoughts on what this means ?
Do you think it would cover non-accredited religious college transcripts ?
Or say a _first /second year in business - college ( the period prior to them being able to be accredited ) ? etc...

In accordance with Excelsior College policies and procedures, students may appeal for an evaluation of extra-institutional learning (Excelsior College endorses the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation statement on the validation of extra-institutional and experiential learning for transfer purposes)

Find out if ACE has evaluated any of the religious classes, and if they are recognized by the baptist ministry? Amridge University is , so check their website out for info on that and than fight city hall.!

I was looking for a general reply on what people think would fall under the category of extra-institutional learning as it seems to be different then the portfolio assessment route ( which is #9 on the ways to earn credit website).

I read on another DL forum where someone was granted 30 credits at Excelsior for work done at a non -accredited seminary and thought maybe this is how Excelsior was able to grant the credit to them.
